Melanie is a woman who prepares for disasters.  If the world as she knows it were to come grinding to a disastrous halt, her Sustainable Living Community will be ready and able to take care of the people in their area. She doesn't have a man in her life anymore but she has her daughter and that's enough.

Until a tall, dark stranger drives into her life.

Griffith is on a mission to find Melanie's ex-husband Victor, who has stolen a very expensive new drug from a pharmaceutical company.  Griffith is a man who can find what others can't.  He never backs down from a fight and he's never afraid until he sees Melanie.  She steals his breath and makes him wish for things he's never wanted before.

They are two people who can prepare for everything except the depths of their own need for each other.

The Marine Cowboy by Heather Long
When AJ, a local Marine hero, returns home for good from the military to get back to his cowboy roots, he forgets about a pact he made with his comrades; a one night stand.

Sherri moved into town to put her messed up past behind her. On a whim she signed up for Madame Eve’s one night stand service with a very specific set of qualities she’s looking for in a man.

Sherri and AJ have seen each other in town before and there is an instant attraction and the chemistry is there, but what happens when they are set up as each other’s one night stand?

I love men in uniform and what’s not to love about a sexy cowboy. Roll that up into one character and let the hotness ensue.

Strangers by Barbara Elsborg

With her signature British humor, Ms. Elsborg hits this one out of the park. There were moments I smiled, other times my guts knotted and I had a huge lump in my throat. Strangers is a roller coaster ride of emotion and angst, and in my opinion, Barbara Elsborg's best. ~ D. L. Jackson, author of Cinderella Wore Combat Boots, and Last Flight of the Ark.

To Feel Again by Valerie Mann
"The very first 1Night Stand and the barometer by which I judge all others. Forget the fact that there's a real, wonderful story here about loss and moving forward, but this features Mr. Jackson Castillo. He is sexy, sexy, sexy." ~ Sabrina Sol, author of Reunited

Broken by Megan Hart

This book is both tragic and beautiful. Megan Hart wows me again. She truly is an expert in creating complex stories that stay with you long after The End. If the page wasn't filled with hot and explicit sex, then it was filled with devastating emotion. Not for the faint of heart." ~ Sabrina Sol, author of Reunited

Finding Mercy by D L Jackson

As this is the first prepper romance I've read, I found it interesting to find out how the preppers live, and the levels they go to in order to prepare for a future disaster.

Though Finding Mercy is much more than a prepper story. It's the tale of two wounded people who thought they were doing what was best, and got burned (literally and figuratively) in the process. They both settle in Evans Point, a small town in the middle of nowhere, to hide from their pasts, get over the mistakes they made. And when they meet, they help to heal each

other's wounds, show each other that they can have a future. But when their pasts come back to haunt them, any possibility of a future together is ripped apart.

Finding Mercy is a well-written story where D.L. Jackson not only displays her military experiences, but also the life of a prepper and the resident of a small town. I highly recommend this story as well as any book by this author. ~ Jessica E. Subject - author of Accidental Romance and Beneath the Starry Sky

Self's Blossom by David Russell

This is about a young woman's self-discovery. Selene is a 'success story' having become a top journalist, while retaining her dazzling looks. However, in the past she has had unhappy relationships, and feels she has missed out on hedonistic fun. This she obtains, firstly with a young stranger on a beach, and finally with enigmatic Hudson: tryst is preceded by cultural tourism, and careful sizing up of minds. Afterwards Selene returns to her 'I stand on my own' attitude. While she is on holiday, her mind is free to ramble, often into Selene's chequered past. Flashback blurs into the present, past-rooted interior monologue into direct observation. The dialogue is sparse. Selene is a cautious, premeditative type, in whom thought, reflection and analysis outweigh direct action. Selene’s subtle, monitoring mind coolly observes and controls all the events. Maybe she is super-confident, maybe profoundly insecure. She is many things to many readers. ~ David Russell, author of Last Dance and Deadly Lessons.
